ABC...

My alphabet is hurtling along like an express train on a rocket launcher!  I have designed and made the following letters:

  • A
  • B
  • C
  • D
  • E
  • F
  • H
  • I
  • K
  • L
  • O
  • P
  • Q
  • R
  • T
  • V
  • X
  • Y
  • Z
And the first few patterns are available in the Pages box on the sidebar. I apologize for vagueness, but it's hard to explain a lot of the concepts.  If you fiddle with it enough, and use your eyeballs and personal judgment, you should be able to figure them out.  It's a lot of fun, spelling stuff!  I'll get the other patterns up ASAP [[as speedily as pie-eating]] but I.  Am.  Swamped.  Spring Break is coming up, though, and I'm actually going to give myself time off for once. So probably a lot of productive things will occur in that general time period.  Although I'm scared to take on the letter S.  It's going to be very interesting, trying to get that one to come out right....

And yes, this is a short post, and yes, I apologize profusely, but no, I do not have any more time, because I have to tidy and eat and dash off to TKD, where I will pretend to know what I'm doing.  :D

But before I go, as relates to yesterday's post:  I got a lot of replies in various shapes and forms to that post.  And I'm of the opinion that probably most people, or at least most introverts, feel the same way as I do, at least to an extent.  And yes, it is unrealistic to expect to find someone exactly like you in every way.  I think what we're mainly looking for is someone who will tolerate us, or even appreciate our quirks.  And anyhow, it's good to just have these things in the open so that we start to notice the people around us, and start to be better at tolerating/appreciating THEM.  Subject closes, case dismissed, folder filed, vault locked. :)  I'm going to go open my window and have a few short minutes of Crochetery Therapy before things go crazy again.

  2. WOW --- Those letters are brilliant. I have been away for a few days and have just caught up with your blog. I just want to say we are all so different and just try to feel comfortable in your skin. Yiu fit it so exactly. I have a friend who is so different than me and calls me "quirky!" I don't know who is quirkier her for thinking it or me for in her opinion being it. But at my age quirky is fine at least I am not invisible.

  3. thank you so much for sharing your designs online , for free. I looked everywhere for crochet alphabet online, your blog was almost the only one out there to include free patterns of alphabets, it was also the easiest and clearest and most fun of all. My beautiful niece, Mai, decided to spend the night over at my place so we can crochet her name on her new blanket, you made it easy and fun for us, thank you.
